Professional Journey and Experience

Over the past five years, I have had the privilege of working with diverse populations in Florida and addressing a range of emotional and psychological challenges. My career began with adolescents struggling with emotional regulation difficulties, a profoundly impactful experience that underscored the importance of early intervention. I then had the honor of working at Palm Beach County Victim Services, where I supported victims of interpersonal violence, helping them find strength and resilience in the face of adversity.

My journey continued as I worked with adults and families affected by addiction. Serving as the Clinical Director at a substance use treatment facility, I honed my skills in helping individuals and families navigate the complex and often painful journey of recovery. These experiences have equipped me with a deep understanding of trauma, anxiety, and the intricate dynamics of healing.

My Therapeutic Approach

My approach to therapy is rooted in trauma-informed and client-centered care. I believe in the power of tailoring treatment to meet the unique needs and goals of each client. By combining evidence-based treatment modalities with a compassionate and empathetic approach, I create a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their experiences and emotions.

EMDR therapy is a cornerstone of my practice, offering a structured yet flexible method for processing traumatic memories and reducing the distress they cause. Additionally, I integrate other therapeutic techniques as needed to address chronic stress, life transitions, family dysfunction, and the specific challenges faced by adult children of alcoholics.

The Heart Behind the Work

My passion for helping others heal from trauma and anxiety began during my time in graduate school, where I volunteered with a national rape crisis center. This experience revealed to me the incredible strength people possess when facing adversity and the profound impact of providing a safe, non-judgmental space for healing. This revelation inspired me to dedicate my career to creating such spaces for my clients.

A Personal Touch

Outside of my professional life, I am an avid yoga practitioner and runner, activities that help me maintain my own well-being and balance. I share my home with a beloved dog and cat, who bring joy and companionship into my life.
